Here is exactly what leaves your device.
Your audio and video
Encrypted in your browser with WebRTC DTLS-SRTP. This site never has access to the decrypted media and never records it.
Who can decrypt a call
Only the other people in the room. Anyone holding your meeting link can join, so treat the link as the secret.
Connection signalling
Names, peer IDs, join and leave events, and network addresses are sent to the signalling server so browsers can find each other. That server sees this metadata, not your media.
Relay (TURN)
On strict networks a direct connection cannot be made, so audio and video are relayed through a third-party relay to reach the other participants. It is still end-to-end encrypted, but it means the media does not travel browser-to-browser. Your connection panel shows relay or direct for each person.
Messages and reactions
Sent directly to the people in the room. Not stored on any server.
Device settings
Your name, chosen camera, microphone, speaker and quality preference are kept in this browser's local storage only.
